August 4th, I'll be attending and having a custom Munny at this show. I already have a sketch all laid out for it.  I just need to apply it to the Munny and pick out a palette. This piece won't be one of my "usual" pinup girls, look for something that showcase my more darker/emotional side. (If I have to call it something! ) I'll be posting in progress shots as it gets closer to the date.

And inks… part of new art coming your way.
Apologies for the low res. watermarked image. But I don’t need to tell you that people suck when it comes to stealing art. ;)

New website is now LIVE

Hey All,

My website is officially live! It has a brand new look and it's A LOT more user friendly. I've been wanting to have the site overhauled for the loooongest time. The look of the old site felt kind of dated, was a bit long, and felt it didn't really "reflect" my personality. So now it has a pop of color and conveys the kind of things that I'm really into. ( at least I think it does) You'll notice there's some slight changes with the layout. The "news" page is no longer on the very front and is now located in the "blog" tab. So any events, showings, appearances will now be officially listed there. ( or if you want to get technical, here ) There's a new "need art" tab where you can submit your inquires for commissions, projects, press, or even if I like "Glee" if you so desire. So go check it out!

I just completed a ton ( well felt like a ton ) of sketch cards for Katie Cook's Kitty Ditties and Pretty Ladies sketch cards. These were super fun and creative to work on. Some of the ones I did are burlesque, classic female monsters, pin-up themed. I even did a roller derby themed one. Talk about fun! Thought it would be funny to have a crazed out cat getting ready to take on the opposing team. Here's a little sneak peek of the card.

I'm not one to usually brag or pat myself on the back when it comes to my own work. (In fact, I'm my harshest critic!) But I really like how this one turned out considering how small these cards are to work on. I think what I'm most happy about is my use of color in this card. And the kitties! Let's not forget the kitties!! So keep an eye out on them. I'm already hearing that the set sold out before it was even released. ( is that possible? ) Pretty crazy right?

Now that the sketch cards are wrapped up, I'm still in the midst of a HUGE project that I keep talking about every once in a while. The project is really different than anything I've worked on ( which I'm excited about!! ) but still reflects my style throughout the book/series. I promise as soon as I get the ok I will post some art that I've been doing for it. I have to keep it under wraps for now. Other things I'm working on are more sketch cards ( will mention which ones soon ), The Key, Pin-ups, and something that I've been wanting to get back into doing for awhile. Something that I have a love for and can be a bit obsessive in collecting.

Designer vinyl toys.

Yep. If you have no idea what I'm talking about all you need to do is type in "Designer Vinyl Toys" and a whole brand new world will appear before your eyes. What this has to do with me is that I'll be painting one ( a Munny to be exact) and will be part of a group show where other artists will be doing the same. I will be posting "in progress" shots when I start on it,I really can't wait! I already have a piece of work I did that I want to base the design off of. It's a design I consider to be a bit more of my "lowbrow/dark " style into play if I had to categorize it. I'll be posting a scan of the art once I start on it...stay tuned!
