New stuff and new blog!

Hi all! Welcome to my new blog! The place where you can find all the latest art and news! This spot will eventually take over the "News" page on my website. As you can see the blog has a different "look" to it. A bit more pin-up with a tattoo vibe, something with a bit more of my personality! Pretty excited about the blog, sooo much easier than updating on my website (Dreamweaver and I have a love/hate relationship!) so that means any new art and appearances will be posted more frequently here! Meanwhile, here's some stuff that I have going on.

There's a new interview about me, my art, and comics over at "I know why people hate me" blog. You can read about how I learned to draw to what's what with my comic, "The Key". Check it out here.

If you're not familiar with Pinup America magazine, it's a new magazine that has articles on burlesque, pin-up, tattoos, and more. I'm a regular contributor, I do a small retro humor cartoon for the magazine. The new issue is now out and about and for sale! This issue is a zombie theme for Halloween! ( My favorite! ) Trying to keep the spirit of the theme and still being retro, I came up with this lil' illustration for the mag. The magazine is available for sale on their website and at select Barnes and Noble stores.

For you sketch card fans, the cards I did for Painkiller Jane by 5finity are out now! Here's my two artist exclusive cards. They are for sale for $20 each. If interested, email me at hesseart at gmail.com for more info. I have a bunch of other sketch cards I'm going to post over the next few weeks. I have Pup's, Galaxygals, and Sheena sketch cards that will be put up for sale. They will be posted here for sale, so keep your eyes peeled.

Baltimore Comic Con Re-cap! The weeks have gotten away from me, so I never got to make an "official" post. I had an excellent show, probably one of my best shows to date. Thanks to everyone that bought prints, sketchbooks, pins, and commissions from me. Especially prints, I went home with a lot lighter load! I'm looking to have a new batch printed up over the week, so if there's any art you would like to see made into a print, let me know! Here are some pre-order commissions and commissions I did at the show. One of my favorite out of the bunch is the Wonder Woman piece. Wonder Woman for me is a hard character to illustrate at times. She has to be strong and "bring it". I think I did that but at the same time, slipped in my lil' bit of provactive style to her.

Also, if interested in commissions or customized art, my waiting list is freeing up a lil' bit. To find out more information you can email me at hesseart at gmail.com.

Until next time!

XO,
Hesse
